MIPTV Announces Médaille d’Honneur Award Recipients

PARIS/SYDNEY: Tim Worner, the CEO of Seven West Media, is among the recipients of this year's MIPTV Médaille d’Honneur Award, along with Fox's Marion Edwards, Channel One Russia's Konstantin Ernst and Tele München's Herbert G. Kloiber.

Worner has been recognized for his career achievements and leadership at Australia’s leading listed multiplatform media business. Seven is the largest television network in Australia and has emerged as one the biggest creators of content in Australia.

Edwards is the president of international television at 20th Century Fox Television Distribution. She oversees the licensing of all content produced by Twentieth Century Fox, Fox21, FX Production and Fox Television Studios to international premium pay, basic pay, and network television worldwide

Ernst is the CEO of Channel One in Russia. One of the most influential media executives in Russia, since 1995 Ernst has headed Channel One Russia, the country’s leading broadcaster, watched by an audience of some 250 million worldwide.

Kloiber is the chairman and owner of Tele München Group, which is one of Germany's leading media companies. Kloiber started his career at Leo Kirch’s Beta/Taurus in 1970, before joining Unitel, a film and television production company specializing in opera and concert films. In 1977, he acquired Tele München and developed the company’s production operation into a fully-integrated media corporation.
